Nexus Market is an educational research project. We study how darknet marketplaces work from a defensive perspective: how vendor verification fails, how phishing clones spread, and how anonymity tools like Tor, PGP and Monero are used in practice.
Who maintains this archive
Maintained by the Nexus Research Collective — independent cybersecurity researchers focused on threat intelligence, phishing analysis, and privacy-tool education. No vendors, no marketplace operators, no commercial escrow services. Contact for corrections: archive [at] nexus-marketdarknet [dot] co (see Contact).
Methodology
Every mirror string is compared character-for-character against at least two independent observations, checked for PGP consistency where available, and re-verified at least every 14 days. Latency figures are Tor-circuit medians published so cloned gateways with abnormal timing stand out. Findings that cannot be verified are removed, not published. See Mirrors for the current table and Disclaimer for scope limits.
Research Timeline
2025: Started as notes on escrow models and mandatory verification. Focus on why custodial gateways fail and how mirror phishing works.
2026: Shift to privacy-coin analysis and Tor hardening guides. Published first OpSec checklists for researchers, mirror verification tables, and threat-intel summaries.
September 2026: Crawler-hygiene pass — decoupled onion addresses from clickable markup (text references only), removed email-obfuscation endpoint errors, added Privacy and Disclaimer pages, and re-signed the Warrant Canary.
Editorial Principles
We cite primary sources: Tor Project, Monero documentation, and peer-reviewed overviews of darknets. We do not promote or facilitate illegal activity. Full scope in Disclaimer; data handling in Privacy.
Trust is enforced by verifiable sources, not promises.
